This course has been designed to deliver clusters of like units of competency together to ease your study load and improve efficiency. Assessments are integrated with your course work and demonstrate:

  • Task skills - performing the task
  • Task management skills - managing a number of tasks
  • Contingency management skills - dealing with irregularities e.g. unexpected problems and breakdowns in routine
  • Job and role environment skills - fulfilling job and workplace responsibilities and expectations and transferring competencies to new contexts

The Certificate IV level course is the minimum requirement to teach and assess in an Australian Vocational Education and Training (VET) setting or when teaching and assessing VET qualifications in the workplace.

The two Diploma level courses are commonly taken as a dual qualification and have a strong focus on course design and adult language literacy and numeracy. You must complete the Certificate IV qualification before the Diploma or the dual Diploma qualification.

You will gain hands-on experience:

  • Evaluating and understanding the specific needs of the people you help or train
  • Designing, organising and delivering training activities and programs to help achieve the best results for your learners

You will work on a real world projects designing and developing training and assessment resources for the industry of your expertise.

This course offers a blended delivery of face-to-face and online learning. You will study in TAFE NSW campus classrooms, simulated classrooms and through our online delivery platform. You may also choose your own workplace in case study scenarios.
