Are you passionate about animals? The Certificate II in Animal Studies course will equip you with the skills and knowledge you need to assist with animal care in a variety of environments.
You'll learn how to complete animal care hygiene routines, maintain and monitor animal health as well as assist with the basic care, nutrition, grooming and exercise of animals in a range of work environments.
Before enrolling in this course it is recommended that you have access to an animal care workplace either voluntary or paid to support your learning.
Once you have successfully completed this course you may choose to pursue a career as Animal care receptionist/support officer, animal control and regulation assistant, animal shelter assistant, animal health officer on indigenous communities or an assistant animal welfare officer. Or, further your study with a higher level qualification in animal technology, captive animals, companion animal services and veterinary nursing.
