Overview

Would you like to develop your knowledge of security screens and grilles to advance your role as a Home Improvement Installer? TAFE NSW’s Certificate III in Blinds, Awnings, Security Screens and Grilles (Security Screens and Grilles) will teach you how to best design, construct, install and repair security screens and grilles using a range of materials, fixtures and fittings. You will learn how to read and interpret work documents, make appropriate measurements and calculations, estimate costs, and correctly move and store materials and products.

You will also learn how to fabricate, install and apply patterns and designs to security screens and grilles, and to prepare your product for Australian Standards testing, as well as to glaze and re-glaze windows and doors. Enjoy working in a role that protects residential and commercial premises with both functional and attractive security products.
