Are you ready to take the next step in commercial cooking? Studying the nationally recognised Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery will give you the necessary qualification to supervise or team lead in the kitchen. You will learn how to work independently, or with limited guidance. This course covers coordinating cooking operations, the design and production of food, interpreting financial information and monitoring Work Health and Safety practices. When studying this course you will have the opportunity to apply for Smart and Skilled and Apprenticeships. With successful completion of the Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery, you could work in hospitality organisations, such as restaurants, pubs, cafes and hotels. Potential job roles include Chef-de-Partie and Chef.

Individuals may enter SIT40413 Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery with limited
or no vocational experience and without a lower level qualification. However, it
is strongly recommended that individuals undertake lower level qualifications,
and/or gain industry experience prior to entering the qualification.
