Information about assessment is provided in the following guide:

Final examinations are conducted outside normal class time. Exams for each unit are scheduled at the same time and date throughout NSW.
You have certain rights and responsibilities in relation to exams. Please read the document Information for Students Sitting Final Examinations (PDF, 58Kb) for further information.
Testamurs and transcripts
If you successfully complete a nationally recognised qualification, a TAFE NSW accredited course, a course accredited by another authority but delivered by TAFE NSW, or a TAFE Statement (non-AQF), you will receive a TAFE NSW testamur.
Your testamur is an official security-protected certificate showing the qualification you attained. At the end of each semester you will also receive a transcript setting out your results.
For a replacement certificate, complete this form (PDF, 71kB) and lodge it with the appropriate fee at your local campus.
If you complete a non-accredited short course, you will receive an attendance certificate and a transcript. Attendance certificates do not carry the accreditation status of a testamur, but do officially recognise your attendance. Each attendance certificate has:
- A unique number
- A silver foil logo and
- An embossed seal.
