Entry requirements

To join one of our undergraduate degree programs, you need at least one of the following:

  • A NSW HSC (Higher School Certificate) or equivalent
  • A recognised Tertiary Preparation Certificate
  • A Certificate IV level or higher vocational qualification
  • Evidence to prove you have completed at least one year of full-time study (or equivalent) in a degree course at a higher education institution

Don't have any of these? You still may be able to study – there are special admission provisions for disadvantage or mature age, but you'll need to provide documentation to support your application.

Additional entry requirements

As well as the criteria listed above, each course may have specific entry requirements. For example, you may need to complete a test or interview, or submit a portfolio. Check the course information page for course-specific entry requirements.

Make sure you meet the selection criteria

We'll assess your application against a range of selection criteria, so double-check your application is complete.

Secure your spot

If your application is successful, we'll send you an offer by email. To accept the offer and secure your place on the course, follow the steps in the email by the date specified.

If you don't accept the offer by the date indicated, your offer will be withdrawn and your place will be offered to another applicant.

Once we receive your acceptance, we'll confirm your place in the course and send you enrolment and tuition fee information.

International students

If you're an international student and want to apply for one of our undergraduate degree programs, the application process is slightly different. TAFE NSW Australia can provide you with specific help and assistance including their application form.
