If you can't get to a campus offering your preferred course, or you need the freedom to study when and where it suits you, TAFE NSW offers a range of flexible study options.
Many TAFE NSW Institutes offer flexible study options for selected courses or units − either entirely as remote access using eLearning resources and web-based communication, or as a mix of classroom and online delivery. Flexible courses and units are offered across a wide range of vocational and industry areas.
Modes are listed in the course description for each course. Courses that offer learning and assessment in a variety of modes (on-campus, off-campus, distance learning, online learning, and combinations of these) will be marked 'Flexible Attendance' (FX).
To study a course or unit of competency you'll need access to a computer and the internet. Your teacher can assist if you need help using the online environment.
