A Selected Study Program is a plan of study made up of specific units of competency that you choose to suit your career goals and interests.
A Selected Study Program may be right for you if you find that a ready-made TAFE NSW course doesn't suit you, or you wish to combine units from different fields of study.
To design your Selected Study Program you can:
Always seek advice from a course information officer or counsellor at your chosen TAFE NSW campus about the availability of units and the structure of your program.
You must enrol for each unit of competency. Note that you must meet any prerequisites required for the units you have selected.
At the end of your Selected Study Program, TAFE NSW will give you a statement of attainment listing the units of competency achieved. This study may count towards a nationally recognised qualification.
Your Selected Study Program may give you advanced standing (credit) towards further study at TAFE NSW. You would need to complete the required application procedures and meet the entry requirements for the TAFE NSW course you wish to study. Credit is provided only for units of competency you have successfully completed.
