Rheem Apprentice Plumber Grants
The Rheem Apprentice Plumber Grants program was established to help alleviate financial strain on apprentices, to invest in the skills of future plumbers and gas fitters, and to provide valuable training assistance.
Rheem Australia is encouraging Australian apprentice plumbers and gas fitters to apply for one of ten grants that will help support the progress of their study, and help to kickstart their career within the industry.
Value: 10 x $3000 grants
Each grant will comprise of $2,000 in cash to go towards your TAFE NSW fees and textbooks, a tote tool bag, and a $1,000 voucher to go towards tools.
Closing date: 5 pm Monday 30 March, 2020
To be eligible for a Rheem Apprentice Plumber grant, you must:
- be an apprentice plumber or gas fitter, currently undertaking an apprenticeship in Australia
- be currently studying, or commencing study, at TAFE NSW, at another RTO, or at university in 2020
Please note that Rheem Apprentice Plumber Grant recipients from previous years are not eligible to apply.
Judges for the 2020 Rheem Apprentice Plumber Grants are looking for applicants who embody the qualities that make an exceptional plumber.
They are looking for applicants who are passionate about what they do, and how they’ve overcome adversity to get where they are. There is also an opportunity for you to detail your involvement in your community, and your career aspirations for the future.
To be eligible for consideration, students must complete an online application.
In preparation for your application, you will need to make sure you have the contact details of your TAFE NSW teacher and employer, as well as an approved employee reference (100 words or fewer), and some ideas about why you believe you deserve the grant.

Applications close Monday, 30 March, 2020. After that date, a panel of independent industry experts and a Rheem adjudicator will judge the 2020 Rheem Apprentice Plumber Grant entries.
Winners will then be announced on Friday, 8 May 2020.
Successful recipients’ will be contacted by a Rheem representative via email and phone, and their names displayed on rheem.com.au/apprentice
