top of any group containing optional subgroups there will be a statement
saying how many you must do.
 
 
This course has been designed to reflect the packaging requirements for
Certificate III in General Insurance FNS30510 within the Financial Services
Training Package (FNS10). The rules from FNS10 Training Package are as
follows:  

13 units must be achieved:
 
5 core units
plus 8 elective units
 
*  of the required elective units of competency the 2 units in Group A
must be selected for ASIC Tier 2 personal advice compliance
*  at least 3 electives must be selected from Group B and remaining
electives can be selected from the general elective bank below
*  a maximum of 2 electives may be selected from units aligned to
Certificate III qualifications in any endorsed Training Package or
accredited course *  a maximum of 2 electives may be selected from units
aligned to Certificate IV qualifications in any endorsed Training Package
or accredited course  

Elective units must be relevant to the work outcomes, local industry
requirements and the qualification level.
 
Units selected from other Training Packages or accredited courses must not
duplicate units selected from or available within the FNS10 Financial
Services or BSB07 Business Services Training Packages.
 
To satisfy the Training Package requirements, this TAFE NSW course has been
structured as follows:
 
Group 1 - Core Units

ALL five (5) compulsory units must be completed
 
Group 2 - Elective Units
------------------------
All eight (8) elective units may be selected from the subgroups in this
group. At least three (3) units must be chosen from subgroup 2 - group B
electives. The two (2) units in subgroup 1 must be selected for ASIC Tier
2 personal advice compliance. Subgroup 3 contains general elective units.
 
Group 3 - Other Elective Units at Cert III Level

NOTES FOR STUDENTS

Talk to your teacher and/or workplace trainer to ensure that your
combination of electives provides you with a suitable vocational outcome.
 
3. RECOGNITION
If you have completed other relevant training you may be eligible to have
units of competency from previous training counted towards completion for
this course. Talk to your teacher or workplace trainer if you think you
may be eligible for recognition for units previously completed.
 
4. PREREQUISITE UNITS
Some units in this course may have prerequisites that must be completed in
lower level qualification or selected as part of this course. Refer to the
Training Package or consult your teacher for information about
prerequisites to elective units.

Requirements to receive the qualification

To achieve the qualification Certificate III in General Insurance FNS30510 TAFE
NSW course 11330, learners are required to complete 13 units of competency,
comprising:
- 5 compulsory units from group 1
- 8 elective units chosen from groups 2/3/4. At least 3 units must be
chosen from group 2 subgroup 2. A maximum of 2 units can be chosen from group
3; a maximum of 2 units can be chosen from group 4.
