This course is conducted for Roads and Maritime Services to accredit a
qualified and licensed motor mechanic who is already a Light Vehicle
Safety Check Examiner, to perform inspections at an RMS Authorised
Unregistered Vehicle Inspection Station (AUVIS).

This course is an integrated part of the RMS Training Program comprising courses
in the Roads and Maritime Services Authorised Inspection Station Scheme (Light
Vehicle, Heavy Vehicle, Gas Vehicle and Unregistered Vehicle).
There is no credit transfer from this course into any other RMS training
To enrol in this course you must have successfully completed the Course in RMS
ASCIS Examiner or Examiner/Proprietor - Light Vehicle.
You must be a licensed mechanic with a Certificate III in Automotive Mechanical
Technology - Light or Heavy Vehicle.
To enrol in this course, you must also possess an 'Approval for Training' letter
issued by Roads and Maritime Services (RMS).

1. LEARNER SUPPORT
Students who require support to meet their learning goals may co-enrol in
the Learner Support course (TAFE Course Number 9999). Talk to your teacher
think you may require learner support.
If you have completed other relevant training, you may be eligible to have
units of competency from previous training counted towards completion for
this course. Talk to your teacher or workplace trainer if you think you
may be eligible for recognition of units previously completed.
