Course overview

Course Description

This course is for skilled operators in the digital printing industry who
are responsible for digital production workflow, such as job creation,
printing and finishing. You apply a broad range of competencies in a
varied work context, using some discretion and judgement and relevant
theoretical knowledge. You provide technical advice and support to others.
 
At the completion of this course you could undertake further study in other
related printing courses. For example:
-  ICP40610 Certificate IV in Printing and Graphic Arts (Management/Sales).

You must complete each group as specified as well as following the course
completion instructions.   If a course contains optional groups there will

top of any group containing optional subgroups there will be a statement
saying how many you must do.
 
 
This course reflects the packaging requirements for ICP30410 Certificate
III in Printing and Graphic Arts (Digital Printing) within the Printing
and Graphic Arts Training Package (ICP10). The rules from the ICP10
Training Package are as follows:
 
Requirements for completion of the qualification:
 
A successful assessment outcome for 19 units made up of:
 
- 4 core units, plus
- 11 elective units from Group A, plus
- 4 elective units from Group B
 
Up to 2 elective units from Group A can be substituted for Group B elective
units listed below.
 
2 elective units must be selected from the Group B elective units listed
below.  

Up to 3 Group B elective units may be selected from the remaining elective
or from qualifications at the same qualification level or one level
higher, in this Training Package or any other endorsed Training Package or
course.
 
To satisfy the Training Package requirements, this TAFE NSW course has been
structured as follows:
 
A total of 19 units must be completed.
 
Group 1 - Core Units

1. LEARNER SUPPORT

units of competency from previous training counted towards completion for
this course. Talk to your teacher or workplace trainer if you think you
