Course overview

Course Description

This program, for those working in the industry, will provide training in
product knowledge of the broad range of international alcoholic beverages
available. The qualification is suitable wherever a good level of product
knowledge is required to strengthen current job skills and ability in the
handling of international wines and spirits.
The program is also appropriate for those not employed in the industry but
who have a serious interest in wine, and who wish to broaden their
knowledge of international wine and spirits in a structured way. This
Intermediate Certificate covers the wines and spirits of the world,
followed by a one-hour multiple choice examination at the final session.
Wine tasting is a part of every class.
This program is the Intermediate Level 2 Certificate in Wines and Spirits
offered by the UK based Wine and Spirit Education Trust (WSET). The Sydney
Wine Academy (based at Ryde College) is an Approved Program Provider of

To do this course participants must be 18 years of age or older to comply
with the NSW Liquor Act.
