This qualification is for people who want to work in the music industry as composers, instrumentalists or vocalists. You will develop a sound theoretical knowledge base and use a range of specialised, technical or managerial competencies to plan, carry out and evaluate own work and/or that of a team in the music industry.
From the specialist units you can develop skills in music composition, arrangement and performance. Performance may be as freelance, soloist or in a group. Specific skills may include using musical instruments or digital media tools, performing from a repertoire, improvising or from written notation.
From the elective units you can develop other specialist skills related to the music industry such as audio/sound, stagecraft, research, innovation and creative thinking and writing, or project management.

COURSE STRUCTURE AND UNITS
To receive the Diploma of Music Industry (Performance) students must complete all core units and, if available, a range of additional units.
