    COURSE STRUCTURE AND UNITS

    To receive the Advanced Diploma of Information Technology (Network Security) students must complete all core units and, if available, a range of additional units.

    Note: Additional units contain compulsory and elective units which may vary between each semester and campus, and will depend on a number of considerations including the packaging rules for the qualification and demand for the unit.

This is a three-year professional degree offered by TAFE NSW Higher Education that prepares you for employment as a network security specialist in this fast growing and dynamic industry. The course includes presentations and case studies by leading professional experts, so that students develop tools and techniques for solving security issues and challenges facing the business world today.

    If you have successfully completed the Advanced Diploma of Information Technology (Network Security), you may be eligible to receive up to 12 units of credit towards the Bachelor of Information Technology (Network Security) 20524. The Recognition of Prior Learning process involves matching subjects you have successfully completed in your Advanced Diploma against degree subjects, other studies and proven work experience may also be taken into consideration.
