This course is for people who want to become survey technicians. You will learn the skills needed to assist in the data collection, data enquiry, design and drafting of survey, engineering,environmental, cartographic and cadastral maps and plans.You will learn how to analyse designs, data sets and plans, and present the results to meet the standards required in survey practice.
The Diploma will be offered as a package of the Certificate IV in Surveying (CPP40216), and Certificate III in Surveying and Spatial Information Services (11701A).

COURSE STRUCTURE AND UNITS
To receive the Diploma of Surveying students must complete all core units and, if available, a range of additional units.

Additional costs for uniforms, equipment, textbooks and materials (if applicable) range from A$300 - $1,000 per course.
Surveyor technician/town planner
TAFE NSW allows for two or more courses to be packaged together, either to meet the prerequisite requirements for a course or to plan your studies around your career goals. You can submit a single TAFE NSW application form and will be able to apply for one Student Visa for the full duration of the package.
