OVERVIEW

The Diploma of Surveying at TAFE NSW refines your surveying skills and knowledge, and prepares you for leadership roles in the surveying and spatial information services sector.

In this practical, industry-informed course you will develop the skills you need to contribute to data collection, data enquiry, design and drafting of survey, engineering, environmental, cartographic and cadastral maps and plans.

You will learn how to perform precise measurements and use specialised surveying equipment, analyse designs, data sets and plans, and present the results to meet the standards required in survey practice.

The use of geospatial technology (including global positioning systems, geographical information systems, and remote sensing) in mapping and surveying is also increasing.
