ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

  • Academic IELTS 5.5 or TOEFL (iBT) 46 or English Language Programs (Beginner to Advanced) at TAFE NSW or equivalent
  • While there is no formal academic entry requirement for this course, it is recommended applicants have completed year 12 or equivalent
  • Students should have an understanding of the basic operations of a computer, the internet and Microsoft applications such as Word and Excel
  • At Wollongong West, Meadowbank and St Leonards Campuses a pre-requisite of the Certificate III in Information, Digital Media and Technology (Network Administration)(part of a package) (R10305) is required
  • For students wanting to apply for the package of the Certificate III in Information, Digital Media & Technology (Network Administration), Certificate IV in Information Technology (Networking), and the Diploma of Information Technology (Networking), including the Bachelor of I.T Networking at TAFE NSW the following English entry is required:

    Academic IELTS 6.0, with no band less than 5.5, TOEFL iBT at a minimum overall score of 60 with reading at a minimum of 12, listening a minimum of 11, speaking at a minimum of 17 and writing at a minimum of 20, or successful completion of English Language Programs (Beginner to Advanced) at TAFE NSW

COURSE STRUCTURE AND UNITS

To receive the Certificate IV in Information Technology Networking students must complete all core units and, if available, a range of additional units.

Note: Additional units contain compulsory and elective units which may vary between each semester and campus, and will depend on a number of considerations including the packaging rules for the qualification and demand for the unit.
