This qualification is for people who want to work in the creative arts industries as recording artists, musicians, singers, arrangers, directors songwriters and music teachers. You will extend and refine a wide-range of analytical, technical, creative, conceptual and managerial skills to your chosen field in the music industry.
From the specialist units you can extend your skills in music composition, arrangement, directing or performance. Performance may be as freelance, soloist or in a group. Specific skills may include using musical instruments, leading a performance from a repertoire or improvisation.
From the elective units you can develop other specialist skills related to the music industry such as project management, innovation and creative thinking, songwriting, making a record, releasing a record and making a music video.

- If applicants have not completed the pre-requisite of the Diploma of Music Industry (Performance) an audition via phone or Skype is required.
- If you have successfully completed the pre-requisite of the Diploma of Music Industry (Performance) you are NOT required to audition.

COURSE STRUCTURE AND UNITS
To receive the Advanced Diploma of Music Industry (Performance) students must complete all core units and, if available, a range of additional units.
Note: Additional units contain compulsory and elective units which may vary between each semester and campus, and will depend on a number of considerations including the packaging rules for the qualification and demand for the unit.CORE UNITS ADDITIONAL UNITS
Course fees and duration can vary based on the Institute you want to study at, the entry requirements for the course, and the year you will begin study.
Additional costs for uniforms, equipment, textbooks and materials (if applicable) range from A$300 - $1,000 per course.

TAFE NSW allows for two or more courses to be packaged together, either to meet the prerequisite requirements for a course or to plan your studies around your career goals. You can submit a single TAFE NSW application form and will be able to apply for one Student Visa for the full duration of the package.
