Package Details

The Certificate IV in Fitness can be studied as part of the following packages.

    • Students are supervised completing work placement in the campus gymnasium and must participate in 30 hours of workplace experience as part of their training. The purpose of this is to give students the opportunity to practise skills and apply knowledge obtained through their training as well as provide exposure to a variety of clients and scenarios. Work experience will be recorded in the work placement diary which will enable students to record their work experience hours and reflect on their practice and evaluate their own performance.
    • The students will be rostered onto shifts over the teaching timetable to a total of 30 hours. Work placement covers working with clients from the general public and undertaking client screening,gym instruction and programming.Students also conduct gym maintenance and promotional activities.
    • In order to complete the practical component,you must hold a current 'Working With Children Check' (card) issued by the relevant government department for work within NSW. https://www.kidsguardian.nsw.gov.au/child-safe-organisations/working-with-children-check
  • Academic IELTS 5.5 or TOEFL (iBT) 46 or English Language Programs (Beginner to Advanced) at TAFE NSW or equivalent
