Equine Studies Centre

The Equine Studies Centre based at TAFE NSW Richmond offers a variety of qualifications for the equine industry including performance horse and horse breeding (e.g. Equine Nursing), racing (e.g. stablehands, jockeys, thoroughbred trainer and trackrider) and trade courses in farriery and blacksmithing. The Diploma of Equine Massage Therapy, for example, gives you the necessary technical skills and knowledge of horse anatomy and physiology, horse biomechanics and conformation movement, horse massage techniques and horse health and nutrition.

The centre has a stable block and new undercover arena as well as dedicated blacksmithing and farrier facilities. Courses can be taken full-time, part-time or online and are flexible to suit your needs.

The Equine Studies Centre based at Richmond College offers a variety of qualifications for the equine industry including:
