TAFE NSW and Club Marconi have joined forces to provide students with the opportunity to study a Diploma of Sport and Recreation Management in the state-of-the-art sporting facilities at Club Marconi, Bossley Park.

Club Marconi’s CEO, Tony Zappia said the partnership marks a new chapter in the growth of Club Marconi and highlights its expansion into the education space.

“One of sport’s most traditional clubs, Marconi, is pleased to be teaming up with Australia’s largest training provider, TAFE NSW.”

“This is new ground for our community based club. We are focused on providing services to our members and the community. To be able to provide an education program from a highly reputable organisation such as TAFE NSW is an exciting opportunity.” said Mr Zappia.

The nationally recognised Diploma of Sport and Recreation Management will provide students with the hands-on skills needed to pursue a career in Australia’s booming fitness industry, with forecasts of an annual revenue of $2.4billion by 2022.[1]

TAFE NSW Sydney Regional General Manager, Alison Wood said the partnership with Club Marconi is an exciting step for TAFE NSW.

“As Australia’s largest training provider, TAFE NSW is committed to ensuring students have the required skills, experience, and knowledge needed to be job ready.

“The partnership with Club Marconi will give students the opportunity to study the Diploma of Sport and Recreation Management in a real-world environment with the guidance and training of TAFE NSW teachers.” said Ms Wood.
