Welcome to the first edition of TAFE talks with Tracey.
Each month I’ll provide the Grenfell community with an update of everything that’s happening in our magnificent new state-of-the-art Connected Learning Centre (CLC)!
From new course updates, student and teacher profiles, community updates and general good news stories, I hope to keep you informed of everything that’s going on at Australia’s leading training provider.
First of all, for those who don’t know me, my name is Tracey Mackay and I’m the TAFE Services Coordinator in Grenfell.
I have been with TAFE NSW for more than three years, and I believe the new CLC in Grenfell is a wonderful community asset.
The building has been custom designed to utilise modern, digitally-enabled technologies, such as simulations and virtual reality experiences.
This ensures our small community can access a vastly improved range of courses, as well as more accessible training, and flexible learning options.
The best part is a lot of the locals that used to have to travel to access first-class training will now be able to make the most of a large range of training and education options right here in Grenfell!
Speaking of quality training, enrolments are now open for a number of new semester two courses, including Certificate II and III in Community Pharmacy; Certificate II and III in Retail Services; Certificate II in Tourism; Certificate IV in Business; Certificate IV in Retail Management; Diploma of Events Management; Diploma of Hospitality Management and more.
If you have ever considered a new career, or improving your current skills, or would just like to have a look around our magnificent CLC, I encourage you to pop in and see me in Melyra Street, or give me a call on 6340 1748 or 0438 138 950.
Tracey Mackay.
TAFE NSW Grenfell Services Coordinator.
