The nationally accredited Certificate II in Study Skills is your opportunity to bridge the gaps in your previous education. You will strengthen the core skills needed in every occupation, learn strategies to manage your study and gain the confidence to succeed in a formal learning environment.

With 130 locations across the state, TAFE NSW tailors qualifications to meet the needs of the local community and specific student groups (like apprentices, fast-tracked and online students). STUDY COMMITMENT

This is a Flexible, Blended course. You will need to attend approximately 20 hours of class, over flexible days per week, for 18 weeks.

You may also be required to complete approximately 15 hours of additional study each week outside of class hours, this course is delivered flexibly with students studying at their own pace. They attend class at individually specified times but may also continue their work at home.

This course offering is designed for people who:

  • This course is for people who have left school early before completing any formal qualifications and require Mathematics, English, Science and Humanities knowledge, and skills for engagement in further education, training or employment. It provides an equivalent year 10 completion.

This course is currently scheduled for 20 hours a week. An individual training plan will be provided when you enrol in this course. Your plan will outline the recommended study timetable and detail your units and assessments.

SMART AND SKILLED FEES

This course is government-subsidised, meaning you pay a portion of the full course fee to TAFE NSW and the NSW Government will pay the balance. However, you must meet certain eligibility criteria for this to apply.

Depending on your previous qualifications and experience, your fee may be less than the maximum fee quoted. Your actual fee and eligibility for concession/exemption will be calculated and confirmed during the enrolment process. Payment plans are available through TAFE NSW for Smart and Skilled eligible qualifications.
