Course Details

This course is intended to provide participants with the following general education outcomes:
- develop preliminary employability skills and knowledge at AQF level 1
- identify realistic education, employment or community engagement goals and appropriate training pathways
- participate in a formal, supported learning environment.
There are no essential entry requirements for this course.
This course is for people who may have left school early of for whom English is a second language. It focuses in building skills in reading, writing, computing for further study. The course includes introductory to first aid.

You will attend class for 4.5 hours over 1 day a week for 18 weeks. Your weekly timetable would be: Thursday 9:30am to 2:30pm with a 30 minute break.

Depending on your previous qualifications and experience your fee may decrease from the maximum shown.
Payment by instalment may also be available. Your fee and eligibility for concession/exemption will be calculated and confirmed during the enrolment process.

SMART AND SKILLED FEES

This course is government-subsidised, meaning you pay a portion of the full course fee to TAFE NSW and the government will pay the balance. However, you must meet certain eligibility criteria for this to apply.
