This course is intended to provide participants with the following general education outcomes:
- develop employability skills and knowledge at AQF level 1 to retrain or enter the workforce
- identify realistic education, employment or community engagement goals and appropriate training pathways, including pre-vocational pathways
- participate in a formal, supported or self-managed learning environment
This is a full time, face to face delivery course. You will need to attend approximately 16 hours of class, over 4 days a week, for 16 weeks.
You may also be required to complete approximately 23 hours of additional study each week outside of class hours, including written assignments/projects, self-study to revise and reinforce areas of knowledge, application of skills and knowledge acquired through supervised learning activities, research to reinforce skills and knowledge.

This course is currently scheduled every Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from 9:30am to 2:00pm.
SMART AND SKILLED FEES
This course is government-subsidised, meaning you pay a portion of the full course fee to TAFE NSW and the NSW Government will pay the balance. However, you must meet certain eligibility criteria for this to apply.
Depending on your previous qualifications and experience, your fee may be less than the maximum fee quoted. Your actual fee and eligibility for concession/exemption will be calculated and confirmed during the enrolment process. Payment plans are available through TAFE NSW for Smart and Skilled eligible qualifications.

The amount you pay depends on the type of course you study, and on your personal circumstances. The Department is introducing fee exemptions for all qualifications and courses funded under the Entitlement Foundation Skills (EFS) Program for training commencing from 1 July 2018 onwards. This means that eligible students commencing in a foundation skills full qualification/course delivered by TAFE NSW under the EFS program from 1 July 2018 will not be required to pay a fee.
