Course Details

This course is designed for Aboriginal people who require the skills and knowledge for further education and training.

This course is intended to provide participants with the following general education outcomes:

- language, learning, team participation and digital literacy skills to undertake further study

- strategies to assert own Aboriginal identity

- inclusive communication skills and strategies to resolve conflict

- an understanding of workplace protocols and ethical practice

- career preparation for the NSW Police Force or other service organisations
Entrants to the Certificate III in Vocational and Study Pathways must be Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander peoples.
It is recommended that entrants have Australian Core Skills Framework (ASCF) level 3 language, literacy and numeracy - sufficient to read and intepret routine documents and prepare written reports.

Entrants to the Certificate III in Vocational and Study Pathways must be Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander descent.
- Be a minimum of 18 years of age
- Hold a NSW provisional license or higher or interstate equivalent
- Have no serious criminal record or serious driving offences
Monday , Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday 9.00am to 2.30pm plus two physical training sessions 7.30am to 9.00am, day TBC

Depending on your previous qualifications and experience your fee may decrease from the maximum shown.
Payment by instalment may also be available. Your fee and eligibility for concession/exemption will be calculated and confirmed during the enrolment process.

This training is subsidised by the NSW Government, and as a result your fee is determined through Training Services NSW formal eligibility criteria. This criteria will determine your exact fee. Students who meet additional specified criteria, may be eligible for a concession fee or a fee exemption. In claiming the concession or exemption students will be required to supply the required evidence to support the claim in accord with the requirements of Smart and Skilled eligibility.

Payment Plans are available through TAFE NSW for Smart and Skilled eligible qualifications.

To activate your eligibility you must pay the student fee component PRIOR to commencement of the learning activity.
