Course Details

This course is intended to provide participants with the following general education outcomes:

- English language proficiency of level 1 on the ISLPRĀ® scale.
- English language proficiency to undertake qualifications requiring proficiency of ISLPRĀ® 1, IELTS 3.5 or CEFR A2 on entry, which provide a pathway to access employment, training and community participation.
A minimum English language proficiency of ISLPR 1-, IELTS 3 or CEFR A1 across all skills of Speaking, Reading, Listening and Writing.
Before you can enrol in this course, you must attend an information/placement session to have your English language skills assessed.

Please attend an information/placement session on any one of the dates below which will be held at 1:30pm in Room C336 at TAFE NSW Granville.

The Testing Dates are: Thursday 30th May 2019, Thursday 6th June 2019, Thursday 13th June 2019 and Thursday 20th June 2019.

To prepare for the assessment you will need to provide a:
* A Unique Student Identifier (USI) - to create a USI you will need a drivers licence or a passport or an Immi Card or a Medicare card
* An email address
* A photo identification card or document - a drivers licence or passport

Students must have an English proficiency level of ISLPR 1- or equivalent across all skill levels.
Proposed Attendance: Monday and Friday from 9:30am to 1:00pm and Tuesday from 9:00am to 2:30pm, 12 hours per week for 18 weeks (1 Semester).

Depending on your previous qualifications and experience your fee may decrease from the maximum shown.
Payment by instalment may also be available. Your fee and eligibility for concession/exemption will be calculated and confirmed during the enrolment process.

A fee applies for most TAFE NSW courses and must be paid when you enrol. The amount you pay depends on the type of course you study, and on your personal circumstances. The Department is introducing fee exemptions for all qualifications and courses funded under the Entitlement Foundation Skills (EFS) Program for training commencing from 1 July 2018 onwards. This means that eligible students commencing in a foundation skills full qualification/course delivered by TAFE NSW under the EFS program from 1 July 2018 will not be required to pay a fee.
