Course Details

This course is intended to provide participants with the following general education outcomes:

- English language proficiency at Level 1+ on the ISLPR® scale

- English language proficiency to undertake qualifications requiring ISLPR® 1+, IELTS 4 or CEFR A2+ on entry, which provide a pathway to access employment, training and community participation.
There are no essential entry requirements or limitations for this course.

Entrants should have:

A minimum English language proficiency of ISLPR® 1, IELTS 3.5 or CEFR A2 across all skill levels of Speaking, Reading, Listening and Writing.
INFORMATION SESSION

You must attend an information session to make sure you enrol in the best course for you.
At the information session you will talk to a teacher and have an English language assessment.

You can attend on Thursday 13 June at 3pm OR Wednesday 26 June at 11am. Please come to Level 4, Building P Room P405, 213 Pacific Highway, St Leonards NSW 2065.
Please bring your TAFE card, USI number (created at usi.gov.au), passport, visa, and any Centrelink documents you may have.

Your first class will start the week beginning Monday 22 July 2019.

The course runs 3 days per week for 18 weeks. It comprises 15 hrs per week of face to face classes, and you can expect to do an additional 4 hours per week of self-directed study, which may include written, spoken or online activities.

Depending on your previous qualifications and experience your fee may decrease from the maximum shown.
Payment by instalment may also be available. Your fee and eligibility for concession/exemption will be calculated and confirmed during the enrolment process.

SMART AND SKILLED FEES

This course is government-subsidised, meaning you pay a portion of the full course fee to TAFE NSW and the government will pay the balance. However, you must meet certain eligibility criteria for this to apply.

The fee category that will apply to you depends on your eligibility and your individual circumstances. Your fee and eligibility for concession/exemption will be calculated and confirmed during the enrolment process.
