Course Details

This course is for people who wish to further their education or training and require the following skills and knowledge:
- reading, writing, numeracy, digital literacy, and humanities for continued engagement in further education.
- Science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) units to successfully undertake vocational qualifications such as engineering, electro-technology, building and construction, manufacturing and automotive industries
- mathematics and science to prepare for employment in trades or traineeships.
- English, mathematics and science for general and trade level entry to the Australian Defence Forces.
It is recommended that entrants should have ACSF level 2 to 3 language, literacy and numeracy – sufficient to read and interpret basic documents and prepare written reports.
Students will have their literacy and numeracy assessed before starting the course at one of our information sessions.

This is a Year 10 equivalent course. It allows students to further their knowledge in Maths, English and Science.

The Maths, English and Science units studied in this course are useful for people wishing to do a trade or enter the Defence Force.

The course also provides pathways into the Certificate IV in Tertiary Preparation or further vocational study at Certificate 111 level.
The course will be run over 3 days per week, 6 hours per day. Students will be expected to spend 6 hours per week on private study and researching for assessments.

Depending on your previous qualifications and experience your fee may decrease from the maximum shown.
Payment by instalment may also be available. Your fee and eligibility for concession/exemption will be calculated and confirmed during the enrolment process.
