This course is intended to provide participants with the following general education outcomes:
English language proficiency of Level 2+ on the ISLPR scale.
English language proficiency to undertake qualifications requiring proficiency of ISLPR 2+, IELTS 5 or CEFR B1+ on entry, which provide a pathway to access employment, training and community participation.
English language entry requirement to TAFE NSW courses requiring IELTS 5 at entry.
This is a full time face to face course. You will need to attend approximately 20 hours of class, over 4 days a week, for 18 weeks.
You may also be required to complete approximately 42 hours of additional study each week outside of class hours, including self-study to revise and reinforce areas of knowledge, written assignments and reports, conducting research, various activities to practice the English language skills and knowledge acquired through supervised learning activities eg. writing applications for courses or jobs, reading narratives.

This course is currently scheduled on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 9:00am to 2:30pm. This timetable may change and will be confirmed by your teacher.
SMART AND SKILLED FEES
This course is government-subsidised, meaning you pay a portion of the full course fee to TAFE NSW and the NSW Government will pay the balance. However, you must meet certain eligibility criteria for this to apply.
Depending on your previous qualifications and experience, your fee may be less than the maximum fee quoted. Your actual fee and eligibility for concession/exemption will be calculated and confirmed during the enrolment process. Payment plans are available through TAFE NSW for Smart and Skilled eligible qualifications.

FULLY GOVERNMENT SUBSIDISED This course is fully government-subsidised for eligible students, meaning you will not have to pay any course fees. It is part of a program to help people develop the skills they need to get a job, undertake entry level qualifications or transition to a new job.
If you are not eligible for subsidised training, you can still choose to enrol in the course but will need to pay the full (non-subsidised) fee.
