Course Details
For English beginners, the nationally accredited Preliminary Spoken and Written English course will help you to communicate in social situations. Practice speaking, listening, reading and writing and gain confidence in using English in everyday situations.

TAFE NSW REQUIREMENTS
To enrol in this course you must be an absolute beginner to the English language.
BE PREPARED
To be prepared for this course, you will need to make sure you can attend class regularly and practice speaking English at home.
COURSE ENTRY REQUIREMENTS
To be enrolled in this course, you need to be willing to undergo a Pre Training Assessment measured against the ACSF.

STUDY COMMITMENT
This is a Part-Time Day Face-to-Face course. You will need to attend approximately 15 hours of class, over 5 days a week, for 1 year.
You may also be required to complete approximately 1 hour of additional study each week outside of class hours, including private study, consolidation of learning and assessment preparation.

This course is currently scheduled from Monday to Friday between 9.30am and 3.00pm. This timetable may change and will be confirmed by your teacher.
SMART AND SKILLED FEES
This course is government-subsidised, meaning you pay a portion of the full course fee to TAFE NSW and the NSW Government will pay the balance. However, you must meet certain eligibility criteria for this to apply.
Depending on your previous qualifications and experience, your fee may be less than the maximum fee quoted. Your actual fee and eligibility for concession/exemption will be calculated and confirmed during the enrolment process. Payment plans are available through TAFE NSW for Smart and Skilled eligible qualifications.
