Course Details
This course is intended to provide learners with the following educational outcomes:
- a pathway to, and articulation into, Certificate IV in Tertiary Preparation
- equivalent qualification to school Year 11
- entry to further study in the Vocational Education and Training sector
- entry to careers requiring a Year 11 equivalent qualification
- research and high level written skills
- critical thinking and academic learning skills
- eLearning skills to engage with a range of technologies
- preparation for further study in science, technology, engineering and mathematics vocational areas.

There are no essential entry requirements for this course.Entrants benefit from language and literacy levels of ACSF 3 and above, which are sufficient to interpret increasingly complex and unfamiliar documents, analyse texts and prepare written communications.

STUDY COMMITMENT
This is a Full Time course. You will need to attend approximately 18 hours of class, over 4 days a week, for 18 weeks. You may also be required to complete approximately 20 hours of additional study each week outside of class hours including, private study, research and assignment preparation.

This course is currently scheduled on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 9.00am to 2.30pm. This timetable may change and will be confirmed by your teacher.
SMART AND SKILLED FEES
This course is government-subsidised, meaning you pay a portion of the full course fee to TAFE NSW and the NSW Government will pay the balance. However, you must meet certain eligibility criteria for this to apply.
Depending on your previous qualifications and experience, your fee may be less than the maximum fee quoted. Your actual fee and eligibility for concession/exemption will be calculated and confirmed during the enrolment process. Payment plans are available through TAFE NSW for Smart and Skilled eligible qualifications.

FULLY GOVERNMENT SUBSIDISED
This course is fully government-subsidised for eligible students, meaning you will not have to pay any course fees. It is part of a program to help people develop the skills they need to get a job, undertake entry level qualifications or transition to a new job.
If you are not eligible for subsidised training, you can still choose to enrol in the course but will need to pay the full (non-subsidised) fee.
