IS THIS COURSE RIGHT FOR YOU?

This course offering is designed for people who:

  • need to study at a Certificate 3 level or year 11 equivalent. TAFE NSW requires that potential students undertake LLN screening through RUReady, participate in an interview and complete a writing task. This process determines whether students have the level of skills and knowledge required to complete the course in the required timeframe ensuring that this course is an appropriate pathway. Students must achieve results that show they are working within or above ACSF Level 3 or entry will not be granted. Certificate III in Pathways to Further Study is a Year 11 equivalent course and as such achievement of Year 10 is a suitable access point but not required.

SMART AND SKILLED FEES

This course is government-subsidised, meaning you pay a portion of the full course fee to TAFE NSW and the NSW Government will pay the balance. However, you must meet certain eligibility criteria for this to apply.

Depending on your previous qualifications and experience, your fee may be less than the maximum fee quoted. Your actual fee and eligibility for concession/exemption will be calculated and confirmed during the enrolment process. Payment plans are available through TAFE NSW for Smart and Skilled eligible qualifications.

For further information about eligibility and explanations of the different fee categories, visit Are You Eligible?

A fee applies for most TAFE NSW courses and must be paid when you enrol. The amount you pay depends on the type of course you study, and on your personal circumstances. The Department is introducing fee exemptions for all qualifications and courses funded under the Entitlement Foundation Skills (EFS) Program for training commencing from 1 July 2018 onwards. This means that eligible students commencing in a foundation skills full qualification/course delivered by TAFE NSW under the EFS program from 1 July 2018 will not be required to pay a fee.
