Course Details
This course is designed to provide students with skills to participate in work and training with support. It will provide participants with a range of knowledge and skills to prepare for work and participate in further learning with a basic level of independence. The literacy and numeracy units partially align with ACSF level 2.
This course is intended to provide participants with the skills and knowledge to participate in a learning environment and in vocational education. Outcomes include:
preliminary employability skills and knowledge at AQF level 1
skills to access further learning
soft skills suitable for entry-level employment
basic literacy and independent learning skills

STUDY COMMITMENT
This is a self-paced, online course. You must attend approximately 6.2 hours of class. You may also be required to complete approximately 6.9 hours of additional study. This additional study could include private study, work placements and research.
The course will run for 52 weeks.

SMART AND SKILLED FEES
This course is government-subsidised, meaning you pay a portion of the full course fee to TAFE NSW and the NSW Government will pay the balance. However, you must meet certain eligibility criteria for this to apply.
Depending on your previous qualifications and experience, your fee may be less than the maximum fee quoted. Your actual fee and eligibility for concession/exemption will be calculated and confirmed during the enrolment process. Payment plans are available through TAFE NSW for Smart and Skilled eligible qualifications.
