This is an online course covering all aspects of becoming a Volunteer Literacy Tutor including:- Legal and ethical requirements, Mentoring skills, Self-assessment for Literacy Tutoring, information about reading, writing and strategies to work with adults, children, speakers of languages other than English and members of local Aboriginal communities. It includes a resource and Compulsory activities.
There are no information sessions currently scheduled for this course.
This is an online course. You will need to attend approximately 0.3 hours of class, for 18 weeks.
You may also be required to complete approximately 5 hours of additional study each week including private study involving online course material and research.
