Course Details

The Basic Barista Skills course is designed to give participants the necessary skills and knowledge to prepare and serve coffee using an espresso machine in a variety of hospitality settings.
This is non accredited training.

Students will learn to prepare the work area, advise customers, prepare and serve coffee and maintain the espresso machine.

This course is designed for entry level training for coffee makers and others who are seeking work in a coffee service area.

This is an ideal 'stepping stone' course to further students' knowledge about the industry. The hospitality industry offers a vast and exciting range of career opportunities at all levels.

Please enrol and pay the fee at least 7 days(where possible) prior to the start date to secure your place. The fee for this course is $135.00. A statement of attainment will be mailed to you once you have successfully completed the course.

This training is not subsidised by Government funding. There are no fee exemptions, concessions or subsidies available for this course.

Where Fee for Service is being sponsored by an employer or third party organisation an official purchase order or contract arrangement must be in place to activate the student's enrolment.

Payment of course fee must be made PRIOR to commencement of learning activity.

3 hours of supervised instruction by TAFE NSW teaching staff over a period of 1 evening.
Self-Directed Learning recommended. This may include Industry e journals and e magazines, viewing ?You tube? clips and internet research on the basic techniques of espresso extraction and texturing milk.
Tuesday 13 August 2019, 5.30pm to 8.30pm at TAFE NSW Albury. Attend the Rivers Restaurant.
