Course Details

Are you required to provide CPR in your workplace or community, or are compassionate about learning a skill that could save lives? The Statement of Attainment in Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation will provide you with the training you need to safely carry out CPR procedures. This course will teach you how to appropriately respond to an emergency situation, perform CPR procedures and clearly communicate details of the incident. The Statement of Attainment in Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation will be delivered on campus and can be completed in one day. Successful completion of this TAFE NSW course will enhance your opportunities to work in a first aid role that may require CPR in a range of workplace and community settings.

To complete this unit HLTAID001 you are required to complete an online theory component 2 days prior to attending the practical assessment.

To complete the practical assessments, the learner must have the physical ability to provide resuscitation by kneeling on the floor and performing chest compressions for 2 minutes uninterrupted, on both an adult, child and infant manikin. The complete the knowledge assessment the learner must be able to: read, listen and understand course material written in English, write a written Incident Report in English and listen to the instructions of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) where prompts delivered in English.

First Aid courses will be run on Fridays at TAFE NSW West Wyalong Campus Wooten St West Wyalong, NSW 2671, commencing at 9am . A staff member will be in contact with you to discuss a suitable date.

This training is not subsidised by Government funding. There are no fee exemptions, concessions or subsidies available for this course.

Where Fee for Service is being sponsored by an employer or third party organisation an official purchase order or contract arrangement must be in place to activate the student's enrolment.

Payment of course fee must be made PRIOR to commencement of learning activity.
