Course Details

Do you require practical first aid skills as part of your job or volunteer work? The Statement of Attainment in Provide First Aid course will provide you with up to date first aid procedures. You will learn how to respond in an emergency situation, communicate details of the incident and evaluate your own performance. Once you have successfully completed this course your First Aid skills will be valid for 3 years. However, the CPR component of the course is valid for 12 months and will need to be updated annually for you to keep your certification current.
There are no entry requirements for this course.
Plus pre-course reading of the textbook and associated self-assessment activities.

It is important that all qualified first aiders have the physical ability to provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and first aid to an expected standard. Certain aspects of assessment in this unit will rely on your physical ability to:
. perform two minutes of uninterrupted CPR on an adult and infant manikin
. perform CPR at floor level on an adult manikin
. respond to an emergency situation where there may be risk to life.

If you are physically unable to meet all assessment requirements you will be unable to successfully complete this unit of competency.
