Course Details

Speed and accuracy testing is available for those people who may require this service for current or future employment, tertiary studies or as a requirement of Police Service or other government departments.

The testing and calculation is conducted on computers using Microsoft Word. You must bring Photo ID to your test.

The speed and accuracy test is conducted over 5 minute time frames. Participants will be given three different tests for 5 minutes each. The best result will be calculated towards the test. Participants are encouraged to undertake a 15 minute practice session prior to undertaking the test at no extra cost. The test results are calculated immediately and a certificate will be printed and provided to you.

TAFE NSW will make every reasonable effort to ensure that it can accommodate learners language, literacy and numeracy needs. Support is based on a review of the applicants LLN skills prior to or within the first two weeks of commencement of study. This is achieved through written tasks or accessing diagnostic tools such as RUReady and can include a one on one interview. Ongoing identification of LLN support needs will occur through monitoring formative class activities and if deemed applicable a meeting will be arranged to discuss the LLN assistance that TAFE NSW can provide to the learner, with a view of creating an individual training and learning plan that best addresses the learners LLN needs.

There is no work placement component to this course.
