TAFE NSW will make every reasonable effort to ensure that it can accommodate learners' language, literacy and numeracy needs. Support is based on a review of the applicants' LLN skills prior to or within the first two weeks of commencement of study. This is achieved through written tasks or accessing diagnostic tools such as RUReady and can include a one on one interview. Ongoing identification of LLN support needs will occur through monitoring formative class activities and if deemed applicable a meeting will be arranged to discuss the LLN assistance that TAFE NSW can provide to the learner, with a view of creating an individual training and learning plan that best addresses the learner’s LLN needs.
