Our partnership with the University of Canberra has created a unique study pathway that lets you seamlessly transition from our NSW TAFE courses to the Bachelor of Event and Tourism Management. When you study with TAFE NSW, we want you to succeed. Entry requirements allow us to make sure that you have the right pre-existing knowledge and skills to achieve your chosen qualification. You will need to provide evidence that you meet the requirements listed in this section.

To be eligible for the 24 credit point seamless entry you must have completed at least one of the following courses: Diploma or Advanced Diploma of Event Management Diploma or Advanced Diploma of Travel and Tourism Management Diploma or Advanced Diploma of Hospitality Management

Other TAFE NSW Diploma graduates can apply for credit on a case by case basis.

Students are enrolled with the University of Canberra in MGB401 Bachelor of Event and Tourism Management. Direct enrolment with the university is done online by selecting the Sydney location.

This is a full time course run at St Leonards Campus, Sydney. You will need to attend approximately 12 hours of class, over 2 days a week. In addition to face to face classes there is online study material for every unit and week of study. To make sure this course is the right fit for you, we will need you to demonstrate that you can meet the additional requirements below.

To successfully complete this course, you will need:

  • Diploma or Advanced Diploma of Event Management
  • Diploma or Advanced Diploma of Travel and Tourism Management
  • Diploma or Advanced Diploma of Hospitality Management
    You must complete a minimum of 12 months TAFE study, or equivalent, before enrolling.

The way you learn may change during your enrolment to ensure the best learning experience or to keep you safe as COVID-19 restrictions change, and some of our face to face classes may change to online or virtual classroom learning. If work placement and the demonstration of practical skills are requirements of your course, there may be a modification or delay in the planned timeframe due to COVID-19 impacts. Be assured, we'll keep you informed every step of the way.

This course is currently scheduled on Tuesday and Wednesday from 2:00pm to 5:00pm and 6:00pm to 9:00pm. This timetable may change and will be confirmed by your teacher.
