Course Details

This one day course will provide participants with the practical skills and knowledge to plan, create and produce modern painted decorative finishes to an array of surfaces and feature walls around the home and commercial environments.

When you study with TAFE NSW, we want you to succeed. Entry requirements allow us to make sure that you have the right pre-existing knowledge and skills to achieve your chosen qualification. You will need to provide evidence that you meet the requirements listed in this section.

STUDY COMMITMENT
This is a face to face, part time day course. You will need to attend approximately 8 hours of class, over 1 day.

You will be contacted shortly to confirm which day of attendance you would prefer. Please be aware that days will only run subject to enough numbers. If the date you have selected does not reach the required numbers you will be contacted to organise another day of attendance. Your course will run from 8.00 am to 5.00pm

MORE ABOUT THIS COURSE
This one day course will provide participants with the practical skills and knowledge to plan, create and produce modern painted decorative finishes to an array of surfaces and feature walls around the home and commercial environments.

This course also provides face to face practical demonstrations and practice in a variety of decorative finishes. For example: French Wash, Lime wash paints, Wood washes , Metallic effects ,Venetian plaster and Concrete finishes . Also, sample boards, cards and wall surfaces to practice on.

By completing this short course you will learn:

  • Planning and Surface preparation for a variety of surfaces and finishes
  • Tool selection and maintenance for decorative finishes
  • Colour selection
  • Cost evaluation
  • Application techniques
  • Troubleshooting paint faults
