Do you need to learn English? Do you want to get a job, or study in Australia? The Statement of Attainment in Beginner English is for people with very limited English.
The course will teach you beginner English language skills, to allow you to begin to effectively communicate in English in a wide range of situations.
Choose flexible study options to study at a pace you can be comfortable with. As with all English language and ESL courses, we do require you to attend an interview to help us make sure the subject content is right for you.
It is important that you contact your local TAFE NSW campus and discuss this course with us before enrolling.
This nationally recognised training will give you a good start in work and study, opening up opportunities that are not available without basic English skills.
This is a part time day face to face course. You will need to attend approximately 10 hours of class, over 2 days a week, for 18 weeks.
You may also be required to complete approximately 15 hours of additional study each week outside of class hours, including:
- completing self-study to revise and reinforce areas of knowledge
- completing any assigned homework activities
- filling in simple forms
- sending simple SMS messages and storing information in smartphones
- writing simple notes
- copying simple passages, keeping a personal dictionary of words, reading simple signs, instructions, menus, and information, using dictionaries
