Course Details

This short course contains the English units of competency required for general entry to the Australian Defence Forces.

Successful completion of 900-10591EV01 Statement of Attainment in Defence Preparation English and 900-10591MV01 Statement of Attainment in Defence Preparation Maths, satisfies the academic entry requirements for general entry to ADF.

Additional completion of 900-10591SV01 Statement of Attainment in Defence Preparation Science is required for ADF trades entry.

STUDY COMMITMENT
This is a part time face to face course. You will need to attend approximately 4 hours of class, over 1 day a week, for 18 weeks. As well as the in-class component, you will need to complete approximately 30 minutes of other study per week.

You may also be required to complete approximately 4 hours of additional study each week outside of class hours, including completing course work, preparation for and completion of assessments.

This course is currently scheduled on Thursdays from 3.30pm to 6.30pm. This timetable may change and will be confirmed by your teacher.

SMART AND SKILLED FEES

This course is government-subsidised, meaning you pay a portion of the full course fee to TAFE NSW and the NSW Government will pay the balance. However, you must meet certain eligibility criteria for this to apply.

Depending on your previous qualifications and experience, your fee may be less than the maximum fee quoted. Your actual fee and eligibility for concession/exemption will be calculated and confirmed during the enrolment process. Payment plans are available through TAFE NSW for Smart and Skilled eligible qualifications.

This training is subsidised by the NSW Government, and as a result your fee is determined through Training Services NSW formal eligibility criteria. This criteria will determine your exact fee. Students who meet additional specified criteria, may be eligible for a concession fee or a fee exemption.? In claiming the concession or exemption students will be required to supply the required evidence to support the claim in accord with the requirements of Smart and Skilled eligibility.

Payment Plans are available through TAFE NSW for Smart and Skilled eligible qualifications. Students should refer Instalment Plan options for relevant details.

To activate your eligibility you must pay the student fee component PRIOR to commencement of learning activity.
