Course Details

This short course contains the English units of competency required for general entry to the Australian Defence Forces.

Successful completion of 900-10591EV01 Statement of Attainment in Defence Preparation English and 900-10591MV01 Statement of Attainment in Defence Preparation Maths, satisfies the academic entry requirements for general entry to ADF.

Additional completion of 900-10591SV01 Statement of Attainment in Defence Preparation Science is required for ADF trades entry.

STUDY COMMITMENT
This is a part time day, face to face course. You will need to attend approximately 4 hours of class, over 1 day a week, for 18 weeks. As well as the in-class component, you will need to complete approximately 1 hours of other study per week.

You may also be required to complete approximately 3.2 hours of additional study each week outside of class hours, including revision and practice activities, assessment preparation and research.

This course offering is designed for people who:

  • Are considering applying for a trade level entry into the Australian Defence Forces (Army, Navy, Air Force and the Reserves) who cannot demonstrate of satisfactory achievement of formal English study to the standard set by Defence Force Recruiting.
