Course Details

This short course contains the English units of competency required for general entry to the Australian Defence Forces.

Successful completion of 900-10591EV01 Statement of Attainment in Defence Preparation English and 900-10591MV01 Statement of Attainment in Defence Preparation Maths, satisfies the academic entry requirements for general entry to ADF.

Additional completion of 900-10591SV01 Statement of Attainment in Defence Preparation Science is required for ADF trades entry.

**COURSE ENTRY REQUIREMENTS**

To be enrolled in this course, you need to be able to provide evidence that: - You must be either 17 or have proof of completion of year 10 with you.

To successfully complete this course, you will need: - To attend as much as possible and complete all assessments to a satisfactory level. You must also have sufficient literacy skills to read and interpret basic documents and prepare writtend reports.

STUDY COMMITMENT

This is a Part Time Day course. You will need to attend approximately 4 hours of class, 1 day a week, for 18 weeks.

You may also be required to complete approximately 1.8 hours of additional study each week outside of class hours, including, assignment preparation, research, review of class work.

This course is currently scheduled on Tuesdays from 1 pm to 5 pm. This timetable may change and will be confirmed by your teacher.

SMART AND SKILLED FEES

This course is government-subsidised, meaning you pay a portion of the full course fee to TAFE NSW and the NSW Government will pay the balance. However, you must meet certain eligibility criteria for this to apply.

Depending on your previous qualifications and experience, your fee may be less than the maximum fee quoted. Your actual fee and eligibility for concession/exemption will be calculated and confirmed during the enrolment process. Payment plans are available through TAFE NSW for Smart and Skilled eligible qualifications.
