This short course contains the Maths units of competency required for general entry to the Australian Defence Forces.
Successful completion of 900-10591EV01 Statement of Attainment in Defence Preparation English and 900-10591MV01 Statement of Attainment in Defence Preparation Maths, satisfies the academic entry requirements for general entry to ADF.
Additional completion of 900-10591SV01 Statement of Attainment in Defence Preparation Science is required for ADF trades entry.
This course is superseded. You can still enrol in this course, and you will be contacted if you need to transition into the next version when it is available.
Students may attend the learning centre for up to 20 hours per week. Days and times are flexible.
Enrolments are accepted throughout the year. For further information please contact the Head Teacher or visit the Learning Centre in the Northern Beaches Campus Library (Level 2, Block M). In addition you can drop into Upper Block C from 2 - 5 December 2019, or on 10 December 2019, or from 20-23 January 2020 or from 27-29 January 2020 and talk to one of the teachers.

The course involves self-paced flexible study on or off campus (negotiated with the Head Teacher).
SMART AND SKILLED FEES
This course is government-subsidised, meaning you pay a portion of the full course fee to TAFE NSW and the NSW Government will pay the balance. However, you must meet certain eligibility criteria for this to apply.
Depending on your previous qualifications and experience, your fee may be less than the maximum fee quoted. Your actual fee and eligibility for concession/exemption will be calculated and confirmed during the enrolment process. Payment plans are available through TAFE NSW for Smart and Skilled eligible qualifications.

FULLY GOVERNMENT SUBSIDISED
This course is fully government-subsidised for eligible students, meaning you won't have to pay any course fees. It is part of a program to help people develop the skills they need to get a job, undertake entry level qualifications or transition to a new job.
If you are not eligible for subsidised training, you can still choose to enrol in the course but will need to pay the full (non-subsidised) fee $1070.
Students supply pens and notepaper but there is no additional cost for textbooks etc.
