This course will give learners hands on experience to apply individual eyelash extensions. This application will also include how to re-fill eyelashes and also removal methods. There are two units of competency to complete apply eyelash extension and maintain infection control standards.
This course delivery is designed for people who are involved in the beauty therapy and/or makeup industry.
To be able to successfully complete this course, you will need to attend all 6 evenings.
You will need to complete both practical and theory assessments. You may need to do additional unsupervised self directed learning off campus. You are required to arrange two models across the 6 weeks to complete eyelash extensions on.
The workshop will include the following units: SHBBMUP001 Apply eyelash extension and SHBBINF001 Maintain Infection control. You are required to purchase an eyelash extension kit from the supplier on the first evening at a cost of $110.
This will become the property of the student.
You will need one of your models from week 2.
Timetables, days and hours are subject to change with little or no notice. You are required to wear leather or vinyl closed in shoes and professional attire.

As a TAFE NSW student in this course, you will have access to:

You will need to attend approximately 4 hours of class a week over 1 day per week for 6 weeks. An indication of how your weekly timetable may look is: Wednesday, 4.30pm to 8.30pm.
SMART AND SKILLED FEES
This course is government-subsidised, meaning you pay a portion of the full course fee to TAFE NSW and the NSW Government will pay the balance. However, you must meet certain eligibility criteria for this to apply.
Depending on your previous qualifications and experience, your fee may be less than the maximum fee quoted. Your actual fee and eligibility for concession/exemption will be calculated and confirmed during the enrolment process. Payment plans are available through TAFE NSW for Smart and Skilled eligible qualifications.

FULLY GOVERNMENT SUBSIDISED
This course is fully government-subsidised for eligible students, meaning you won't have to pay any course fees. It is part of a program to help people develop the skills they need to get a job, undertake entry level qualifications or transition to a new job.
If you are not eligible for subsidised training, you can still choose to enrol in the course but will need to pay the full (non-subsidised) fee $1,110.
