Course Details

This course provides competencies within taxation and law that may assist in meeting the Tax Practitioner's Board (TPB) requirements when applying for tax agent's registration. Applicants must apply for registration and gain advice from the Tax Practitioner's Board (TPB) prior to enrolment as TAFE NSW does not provide advice for this purpose.

When you study with TAFE NSW, we want you to succeed. Entry requirements allow us to make sure that you have the right pre-existing knowledge and skills to achieve your chosen qualification. You will need to provide evidence that you meet the requirements listed in this section.

There are no entry requirements for this course.

Once enrolled you will have up to 26 weeks to complete the course. You will be required to study for approximately 3.1 hours per week. This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to research, analyse and apply legal principles to provide advice on contract and consumer law implications to clients.

Work functions in the occupational areas where this unit may be used are subject to regulatory requirements. This unit is designed to meet educational requirements of the Tax Practitioner Board (TPB). Refer to the FNS Implementation Guide Companion Volume or the relevant regulator for specific guidance on requirements.
