Do you require practical first aid skills? This course will provide you with up to date first aid procedures. You will learn how to respond in an emergency situation, communicate details of the incident and evaluate your own performance. Once you have successfully completed this course your First Aid skills will be valid for 3 years. However, the CPR component of the course is valid for 12 months and will need to be updated annually for you to keep your certification current.

This is a face to face part time course. You will need to attend approximately 8 hours of class, over 1 day.
You may also be required to complete approximately 10 hours of additional study outside of class hours, including reading the textbook and completing self-assessments.
IS THIS COURSE RIGHT FOR YOU?
This course offering is designed for people who may be required to provide a first aid response in a range of situations, including community and workplace settings. You will learn how to respond in an emergency situation, apply appropriate first aid procedures, communicate details of the incident and evaluate your own performance. When you finish this course you can undertake further First Aid training in other first aid related occupational courses.
If your employment or future education requires training and assessment using a Pocket Mask, you will need to purchase your pocket mask beforehand and bring it with you to the course.
Refresher training in CPR should be undertaken annually and first aid qualifications should be renewed every three (3) years.

This course is currently scheduled on Monday from 8.30am to 5.30pm. This timetable may change and will be confirmed by your teacher.
This training is not subsidised by Government funding. There are no fee exemptions, concessions or subsidies available for this course.
Payment of course fee must be made PRIOR to commencement of learning activity.

Please wear comfortable clothing, suitable for working on the floor during CPR demonstration of skill.
